3 Things I Love About the New YSC website!

3 Things I Love About the New YSC website!

YSC remains committed to making our resources as accessible as possible, so in 2016 we began building a new website to better meet the needs of young women affected by breast cancer. It was a big task, but a critical one. And I personally think it is AWESOME! Here are some of my favorite things about the new YoungSurvival.org:

1. Expanded Resource Library

We’ve pulled together the largest compendium on the web of resources for young women affected by breast cancer and made it searchable. Not only are we sharing the resources we’ve created, like our series of Navigators (Newly Diagnosed, Metastatic, Post-Treatment and Long Term) but we’re sharing our curated list of the best supportive materials for young women facing breast cancer and their co-survivors. It’s easy to search the library to find something specific or browse for resources by topic.

YSC's new website is mobile-friendly and easy to navigate on the go2. New Dedicated Co-Survivor Content

Our expanded Co-Survivors section has practical and actionable tips on topics like how to support your loved one, breast cancer basics and self-care. I’m also thrilled to announce the roll-out of YSC’s new Co-Survivor Peer Mentors - a one-on-one peer mentoring program that matches participants with others like them based on their experiences and concerns. Learn more and get connected here.

3. Mobile-friendly Design

I want the resources on YSC’s site to be available to you and your co-survivors wherever you may be -- whether you’re in your oncologist’s waiting room, riding the bus, or hanging on the beach. With this new design, we are literally in your pocket, with easily accessible information, tools, and support any time you need it.

And one more thing…

We’re not done yet. There are more updates coming this year— which are going to be awesome— subscribe to be sure you don’t miss them when they’re live. So I invite you to click around a little, and explore all the updates. Be sure to let us know what you think in the comments below, and please share with your community.

I can’t wait to hear what your favorite parts of the new site are.

Enjoy!
