Meet Christine
Christine is a primary care provider with research and clinical interest focused on the care of adult survivors of cancer. Christine graduated from Stanford University and received her MD from Weill College of Medicine at Cornell University. She completed a primary care residency, women’s health fellowship and Master of Public Health at Brown University. Initially focused on research, Christine received an NIH-funded award focused on medical decision-making among breast cancer patients. Ultimately, she decided she wanted to focus on direct care and the education of physicians in training. She is the Director of Adult Cancer Survivorship services at the Lifespan Cancer Institute in Providence, RI, and the Medical Director of the Miriam Primary Care Clinic, a training site for Brown Internal Medicine residents. She also has been a women’s health primary care provider for nearly 20 years.
Christine is a breast cancer survivor herself, diagnosed in her early 30s, as were several members of her family. She remembers how crucial it was to connect with other young women diagnosed with breast cancer and is excited to be part of the YSC mission. Her experience has also informed her practice as a primary care physician and fueled her desire to improve the primary care of breast cancer survivors. She lives in Barrington, RI, with her husband Paul (also a physician), two sons (Matt and Ian) and her two dogs (Maple and Moxie).
