Jenna Diagnosed at age 20

"I am a living breathing example that anything and everything is possible as long as you have a positive outlook on the future."

Jenna

I was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer at age 20. I was terrified at whether I was gonna live to see my next birthday due to the fact my cancer was rapidly spreading. I had a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction along with chemotherapy and herceptin for a year. I had the best attitude I could as long as I could and never let my fear get the best of me. I was told I could not have children but one year after finishing my treatments I was prego. The doctors were astonished and did not understand how this could happen, but I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl who is now nine. I then started having trouble with having another baby due to being diagnosed with antiphospholipid antibody syndrome. I had multiple miscarriages along with giving birth to a stillborn baby at five months. Then when I was finally getting the correct treatments, I became prego again and gave birth to a healthy baby boy, even after using blood thinners throughout.

I am a living breathing example that anything and everything is possible as long as you have a positive outlook on the future. I never got down, I never said I wasn't going to make it. I got up every morning happy to be breathing and making it through another day and to this day I try and continue this attitude. For us children of God know things can change in an instant.
