Meet Patti
Patti’s connection with YSC runs very deep and wide. It began with her breast cancer diagnosis at age 43, and meeting the co-founders of the Central Ohio affiliate at a support group. From there, Patti helped (what was then) the Central Ohio affiliate advance the mission of YSC, serving as a volunteer, Treasurer and Leadership Chair. She has continued her involvement as a participant in both the East and West coast YSC Tour De Pinks. Patti is determined to support the mission of YSC that no young woman should face breast cancer alone.
Professionally, Patti is a Tax Specialist with Whalen & Company CPAs located in Worthington, Ohio, where she has a long history of being connected in financial circles. Patti received her undergraduate degree in accounting from Ohio Wesleyan University and attended the Capital University Law school masters in Taxation program. Patti’s strength lies in helping individuals, businesses and nonprofits become successful advocates for themselves by creating and building strong emotional connections, communicating effectively and quickly solving problems with a proactive solution.
Patti has been actively involved and held several leadership and officer positions in many non-profit organizations in the Columbus area. Currently she serves as an Ex-Officio and trustee for the Worthington Educational Foundation.
